iPhone 6s And 6s Plus To Become Cheaper By Up To Rs 22,000!
As the world carries on criticising the new Apple iPhone 7 and 7
Plus, there seems to be some great news coming to all Apple lovers in
India. In what seems to be the biggest price cut ever by Apple in India,
prices of iPhone 6s and 6s Plus will be slashed by as much as Rs
22,000! Apple iPhone 6s (128GB) that had been priced at a rather
overwhelming Rs. 82000 till now, will be available for Rs. 60,000. The
iPhone 6s Plus (128GB) will also see a Rs. 22,000 drop and will be
available for Rs. 70,000. Even the iPhone SE, the 4-inch variant of the
flagship phone that only released earlier this year, has seen a price
drop. The smartphone will now be available for Rs. 44,000 instead of the
original MRP of Rs 49,000.
This is great news for those who want to buy the iPhone but don't wish to spend unrealistic amounts for Apple's latest flagship phones - iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. The new phones will officially launch on the 7th of October with prices starting at Rs. 60,000 for the 32GB variant of iPhone 7. However, many authorised Apple dealers have already started taking pre-bookings for the device.
Looking at it objectively, there isn't much of a difference between the iPhone 6s that launched in October last year and the iPhone 7, except that it's faster, waterproof and comes in two new colours. Both iPhone 6s and 6s Plus boast of 2GB RAM, have 3D Touch, 12-megapixel back camera, 5-megapixel front camera and can record videos in 4K resolution. The 64-bit A9 processor under the hood is 70% faster than iPhone 6 and 6 Plus.
In our opinion, Rs. 60,000 for the 128GB iPhone 6s is a great deal knowing the fact that it's a hugely successful device. The main problem for an iPhone has always been its battery performance and storage space. With this, at least the latter won't be an issue.
What do you guys feel? Would you go after an iPhone that's a generation older given its price? Let us know in the comments section.
