Twitter may soon allow editing tweets

It appears Jack Dorsey, the Twitter CEO, is considering giving more power to people by allowing them to edit tweets. Dorsey took to the microblogging site and asked people "what's the most important thing you want to see Twitter improve or create in 2017?".

In a tweet on Thursday, Dorsey asked users what changes they wanted to be made in Twitter.
"Following the footsteps of Brian Chesky: what's the most important thing you want to see Twitter improve or create in 2017? #Twitter2017," Dorsey tweeted.

Several users asked a feature to allow editing tweets, which may seem like an easy thing to do, Dorsey said that the time period after which a user edits a tweet can increase the complexity of the solution.

Twitter users also asked Dorsey to fight hate and harassment to which the CEO responded by saying that bringing transparency to Twitter was a "big priority".

Twitter for a long time has failed to attract more users despite introducing new feature more often. In a bid to compete better against rivals like Facebook, it has redesigned the way people receive tweets, it removed photos and videos from the 140 character limit. The company yesterday launched live 360-degree videos on the site.
